ATTN: AGA!
Hi AGA girls. Please read this post.
A couple of months ago, I got in touch with you all about doing an AGA relaunch. Thank you to those of you who responded and pledged your continuing support (I think 9 total).
Here's the thing: since then, I've been in somewhat of a financial crisis, and my energy has been going in that direction. I've been dealing with an employer who doesn't respect minimum wage laws, and my internet bills were drastically overdue. I hoped that there would be a "round table" effect and that you would all continue to post and recruit while I was AWOL, but it seems we're all dealing with some real life issues?
Here's the thing: I love the message of the AGA and I want it to be successful, and I want it to have the relaunch it deserves. I'm not in a position right now where I can be flag bearer and monitor the site's contribution levels.
We need new bloggers. Twenty of them--possibly twenty-one, if my situation gets worse and I'm forced to let go of my internet access.
Em wrote a really great advertisement, based on Heather's recruit post, which I gently edited. Here it is:

Are you a young feminist looking for a vital community, peer and mentor support, energized discussion and a great place to be seen and heard? The All Girl Army wants you!
-
The All Girl Army is recruiting! We're looking for girls who are ages 10 to 25, passionate about feminism, and ready to have their voices heard on our blogging community! By becoming an AGA blogger, you'll be joining a supportive sisterhood of women and girls from all walks of life, who have come together to show the world its next generation of feminists.
We want to hear from girls in all walks of life. We've been a site of visibility for young women who are mothers, soldiers, abuse survivors, gay/bisexual, sex workers, in poverty, and more. Our bloggers are from the U.S., Africa, Norway, New Zealand, Germany, and beyond. As long as you are a girrrl between the ages of 10 and 25 who self-identifies as a feminist, we want you!
Here's the deal:
We ask that you contribute one blog post a week (or more, if you like)! Your posts can be about your personal thoughts and experiences, but they must be written with a feminist approach. (If you're unsure what we mean, just check out our site!) The AGA is a safe space for ALL views and backgrounds, but to keep it that way, we ask that you don't put other viewpoints down. E.g., being pro-life is fine, but being anti-choice is not.
If you're excited about this opportunity, here's what you do: go to our site http://allgirlarmy.org and click on our “Enlist in the AGA!†post. Scroll down to the bottom to see our application. Write your thoughtful, honest responses, and send it in! We have 20 slots to fill—no more, no less!—so step up, step up! The All Girl Army is waiting for you!
(Please note that, per COPPA law, girls under 13 will need to attach a parent permission slip to their application.)

So, AGA girls (and anyone else reading), I charge you with this: SPREAD IT AROUND!
I will try my best to be present to help with screening applications, but again, real life issues are making it hard for me to be a presence here right now. THE BEST THING any of us can do for the AGA right now is to GET NEW BLOGGERS IN.
Thanks for your help.
